New Year's Plans

Good Morning!

Just wanted to give a recap of the first morning of 2019!

The morning started with coffee.
Most of my mornings start with coffee. On occasion with tea.

I then settled in my room for about an hour and watched youtube videos and played on my spinning wheel.

Which brings me to my  Plans for the New Year.

I want to keep up with my journaling here as well as on paper.

I keep toying with the idea of a bullet journal but haven't taken the plunge. I have designed some layouts but never fully committed to a full journal.

So first plan for the year.

My second plan follows from the start of the morning. No not coffee, spinning.  I totally want to get this spinning mastered. Not as in being a master spinner, I know that will take time, lots of time. But to master the basics of the wheel and making a consistent yarn. A yarn that can be used in projects.

So second plan for the year.

For brunch Gilli made turkey bacon and eggs.
              Mine were over easy.

The girls had gluten free toast and I had glutinous Sourdough toast. The bread was purchased from the store but is the traditional kind, made with flour and water and a touch of salt and naturally forming yeast.

Which brings me to

My third plan for the year

Learn to make sourdough bread.

I got a compost bin and hope to get some nice compost for the spring. Even if it is not total dirt maybe I will get some decomposed leaves and veggies that I can layer into my raised beds before adding dirt to get some nutrients mixed into the soil.

I know composting takes time. It is just a thought. But the real plan whether the compost is ready or not is to start gardening in the spring.

I want to have an herb garden and a vegetable garden

They will serve multiple purposes. Obviously food, but mostly healthy food. Local food without all the mileage. The herbs will be for seasoning and for health.

I want to get my hands in the dirt and absorb the microbes.

I read the book Eat Dirt by Dr. Josh Axe. excellent.
So with the garden I will get both the organic, healthy, local food and the chance to get dirty and breath in fresh air.

So my forth plan is to

Garden

I will get back with a plan for which herbs and veggies and why I am selecting them.
