Leaf Pin

Hello,

Just wanted to share an new creation. The leaf pin was inspired by the leaves on the wooden button. I found a couple of leaf shapes that I had already cut out and started stitching them together. The light green is from a felted sweater and the dark green is from a wool suit coat.

As I was stitching the light green leaf onto the dark green one I started to get a curved shape. Instead of trying to flatten it I went with it. It had such a lovely organic feel.

I stitched the pin back to a backing fabric and got even more of a curve as I attached the backing. I hope you can see how much movement the leaf has from these photos.
